The Menlo Park City School District offers award-winning programs, strong academics and great teachers to its more than 2,700 students. Yet our schools—Encinal, Laurel, Oak Knoll and Hillview—have critical facility needs. That’s why the school district has placed a bond on the November 2024  ballot.

Measure U will make our school safe and improve learning by:

  • Replacing 65-year-old classroom buildings with structures that meet modern seismic standards
  • Upgrading security systems to control access to campuses and detect intruders, and also modernize fire alarms
  • Installing electric air conditioning in classrooms to address rising temperatures - over 90% of our classrooms do not have A/C, which distracts from learning

The bond will also qualify the district for over $28 million in matching state and federal funding, maximizing local dollars and improving our community. Join our effort for safe Menlo Park schools!
